Factory Resetting The Mach Android Series
Learn How to Reset your Locked Mach Android Device
If you find yourself locked out of your Android device due to forgetting a PIN, or another reason, this article will show you how to reset your device.
This article applies to the following part numbers:
M1-156IC-AAX
M1-215IC-AAX
M1-270IC-AAX
You will need a USB keyboard for this process.
- Unplug your Android device.
- Plug in a USB keyboard to the USB 3.0 port of the device.
- Plug in your device.
- Press and hold the power button until you see the Android Command Screen then let it go. (This screen will feature an Android figure, a red triangle, and a black background) This is not the "Powered by Android" boot screen.
- After letting go of the power button, let a couple seconds pass, then press it and hold it again. While keeping the power button held down, press and hold the up arrow key on your keyboard. Hold both of these buttons for a couple seconds.
- Let go of the up arrow key, then let go of the power button.
- You should see an options menu appear.
- Select "Wipe Data/Factory Reset"
- You should see a notification at the bottom that says "Data wipe complete."
- Select "Reboot System Now."
- Your device should now be reset and you will have to go through the initial setup again.
There may be times where this feature isn't available. This could be due to it being blocked by a Mobile Device Manager, or a number of other things.
